Throwdown interview podcast

The final MTV2 Headbangers Ball Blog podcast of 2007 will be an interview with Throwdown frontman Dave Peters. With the release of their new album (third for Trustkill), Venom & Tears, Throwdown spread beyond the insular boundaries of hardcore and delved more vehemently into thrash metal.

In our revealing conversation, Peters discusses his love for thrash metal, his fear of snakes and insects, his new year's resolutions, Throwdown's 2008 touring plans and offers a sneak peak at the next Soulfly record (on which he performs a guest spot).

We asked the Danish-born metal legend to take part in a special King Diamond podcast about All Hallows Eve, the night when ghosts and demons play tricks on the living and children celebrate the dead as they travel door-to-door in search of treats. During our 40 minute conversation, we discussed the meaning of Halloween, why children never used to come to his house, how he would like to freak out the conservative parents in his neighborhood, his favorite horror films, who would win in a fight between werewolves and vampires, and how, for him, every night is Halloween.
